This trip to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea is one of the most popular excursions from Egypt. It is a truly unforgettable experience!
Our representative will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the border to go through the passport control. After successfully crossing the border of Israel, you will head to the Dead Sea! You will have the opportunity to relax and refresh yourself in the waters of the unique Dead Sea and enjoy the sun.
Then you will make your way to the Jordan River.
The Jordan River is a 251-kilometre-long (156 mi) river in the Middle East that flows roughly north to south through the Sea of Galilee and on to the Dead Sea. Jordan and the Golan Heights border the river to the east, while the West Bank and Israel lie to its west. Both Jordan and the West Bank take their names from the river. The river holds major significance in Judaism and Christianity. According to the Bible, the Israelites crossed it into the Promised Land and Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the Baptist in it.
Then your way goes directly to Jerusalem. You will be taken there in a comfortable and modern bus, so you will have an opportunity to relax.
Jerusalem is a city that everyone should visit not only because it is the birthplace of three world religions, but also because the city is about 4000 years old! You have a unique opportunity see with your own eyes the unique places of Jerusalem.
Here is the Western Wall – the remains of the ancient Solomon’s Temple; you will visit the Via Dolorosa and reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the very same spot where, according to Holy Scripture, Jesus Christ was crucified, buried, and then resurrected.
Your next destination is the important historic city of Bethlehem. On the way you will see Qumran, notable since 1947 as the site of the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were first discovered. Excavations (since 1949) at a site called Khirbet Qumran have revealed the ruins of buildings, believed by some scholars to have been occupied by a community of Essenes, who have been posited as the owners of the Scrolls.
Visit to Bethlehem begins with the famous Mount of Olives. From here you can see the panorama of the whole city. Then you will visit the Church of the Nativity, one of the most sacred places for all Christians – the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
At the end of your excursion you can enjoy delicious lunch at the restaurant. After that, you will go back to the boarder of Israel. From there we will take you back to your hotel.
